Carron Caldwell , LPC

Carron Caldwell brings a broad academic background and a decade of clinical experience to her counseling practice. She holds a Master of Counseling from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, a Master in Ministry Leadership from Cornerstone University, and a Master of Christian Education from Emmanuel Theological Seminary. Her clinical training includes a specialization in Couple and Family Counseling from Oakland University, and she also holds degrees in theology, history, and general studies from American Baptist College, Tennessee State University, and Highland Park Community College respectively.

Carron is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), which denotes state licensure to provide mental health counseling, and she serves as a supervisor to limited licensed professional counselors (LLPC). She is currently pursuing certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist (CH.t) through the Clinical Hypnosis Institute in Warren, Michigan. Her clinical interests span stress, anxiety, trauma and abuse, grief, depression, addictions, relationship and intimacy issues, parenting and family dynamics, sleep problems, anger, self-esteem, bipolar disorder support, ADHD, and coping with life changes. Additional focuses include communication problems, forgiveness, guilt and shame, life purpose, multicultural concerns, personality disorders, and prejudice and discrimination.

Carron combines her counseling expertise with a long-standing commitment to mental health outreach and ministry. She values collaborative work with individuals, couples, and families and believes churches that can and will should consider a full-time paid "Director of Ministry" to strengthen local ministry efforts.

Hypnotherapy is being added to Carron’s clinical toolkit as she pursues certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist - it involves guided relaxation and focused attention to help address habits, stress responses, and certain behavioral goals, often used alongside other therapeutic methods.

Choosing the right approach is part of the therapeutic process, and the therapist works collaboratively with each client to identify which methods best match their needs, goals, and preferences. Sessions evolve as the relationship and goals develop, with the therapist offering guidance and adjustments along the way.
